- Deliver the tax, advisory, accounting, and compliance services you have engaged us for

- Keep records as required by the Tax Administration Act, the Income Tax Act, the Companies Act, and other applicable legislation
- Comply with our obligations under the Tax Practitioners regulations and SAIT membership requirements

4. Where we store your information
Personal information is stored in secure cloud-based systems with structured access controls. Hard-copy documents, where received, are scanned, indexed, and stored as part of your audit-ready file, and originals are returned to you or destroyed in line with the Tax Administration Act retention requirements. We do not store client tax data outside South Africa unless this is necessary for service delivery and you have been informed.
5. Who we share your information with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only where necessary, and only with:
- SARS and other regulators in the course of representing you
- Banks, where you have authorised us to communicate with them on your behalf
- Trusted service providers (cloud storage, communication, accounting platforms) bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations
- Professional bodies where membership or compliance requires it
- Courts, tribunals, or regulators where required by law
6. How long we keep your information
We retain personal information for as long as is necessary to deliver the services you have engaged us for, and thereafter for the periods required by tax legislation. Tax records are typically retained for at least five years from the date of filing, and longer where ongoing matters require it.
7. Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Be told what personal information we hold about you
- Request access to your personal information
- Request correction or deletion of inaccurate or outdated information
- Object to the processing of your information in certain circumstances
- Withdraw any consent you have given (subject to ongoing legal and professional obligations)
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za
